FAQ

At Roho Apparel, we know choosing a blank apparel supplier is a big decision—especially when sustainability and quality matter. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we receive.

About Roho Apparel

What is Roho Apparel?

Roho is a sustainable blank apparel brand based in Uganda, offering high-quality, ethically made garments for businesses, creators, and private label brands worldwide.

Where are your products made?

All Roho garments are made in Uganda in ethically managed facilities. We work with vetted production partners who prioritize safe working conditions, fair wages, and workforce development.

Product & Quality

What types of apparel do you offer?

We currently offer a range of blank apparel, including:

  • 100% cotton T-shirts (unisex and fitted)

  • Heavyweight and lightweight hoodies

  • Lounge and basics collections

  • Custom or white-label options for bulk orders

What fabrics do you use?

Our core products use natural fibers like 100% cotton and cotton blends. Where possible, we source cotton from East Africa and are working toward fully traceable and regenerative farming partnerships.

Are your garments pre-shrunk or preshrunk?

Yes, most Roho apparel is preshrunk to minimize shrinkage after washing. We provide detailed care labels to ensure garment longevity.

Sustainability & Impact

How is Roho Apparel sustainable?

Roho minimizes environmental impact by:

  • Producing locally in Uganda, reducing shipping footprints

  • Using natural fibers and low-impact dyes

  • Supporting tree planting with every item sold

  • Investing in long-term traceable and regenerative cotton sourcing

How does your tree-planting initiative work?

For every garment sold, we fund the planting of one tree in East Africa through vetted reforestation partners. This helps restore biodiversity, improve soil, and offset emissions.

Do you support ethical labor?

Yes. All our production partners follow ethical labor practices. We prioritize local employment, especially for women and youth, and ensure compliance with international labor standards.

B2B, Custom Orders & Shipping

Can I customize your products for my brand?

Absolutely. We offer private label and white-label production, custom colorways, and printing or embroidery services for qualifying bulk orders.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For bulk orders, our MOQs start at 100 units per product style. For private-label or custom orders, MOQs may vary depending on design and fabric availability.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship globally from Uganda, with clients across Europe, North America, and Asia. We manage freight logistics and can support both air and sea shipping.

How long do orders take?

Lead times vary depending on order size and customization needs. Standard blank apparel orders ship within 10–21 business days. Custom orders may take longer, but we always provide estimated timelines before confirming production.

Certifications & Compliance

Are your products certified organic?

While not all Roho garments are currently certified organic, we are actively working toward sourcing GOTS-certified cotton and building relationships with verified regenerative farms in East Africa.

Can you provide documentation for impact and sourcing?

Yes. For institutional buyers or resellers, we can provide information on our sourcing practices, supply chain partners, and tree-planting program impact on request.

Brand & Mission

Why manufacture in Uganda?

Uganda offers a unique opportunity to build ethical supply chains from the ground up. With a skilled workforce, abundant cotton, and trade access to the EU and US, Uganda is well-positioned to be a sustainable manufacturing hub. Roho contributes to this shift by creating jobs and investing in long-term local value creation.

What does “Roho” mean?

"Roho" means spirit or soul in Swahili. Our name reflects our belief that clothing should be made with purpose, dignity, and positive impact—starting from the source.
